New Drawings Update

"Le Mystère Lycanthropique " 22"x30" graphite on watercolor paper

"Agartha" 5.5"x8.5" graphite on paper

"A Sky" 5.5"x8.5" graphite on paper

"Back To The Trees & Lie Upon Their Roots" 5.5"x8.5" graphite on paper

Here's a sneak peek at some of the drawings that I'll have on exhibit at my upcoming show in May. More details to come on the exact dates and times for the reception, etc.

The latter three drawings will be part of a series of 15-20 minute "automatic drawings" that I'm hoping to compile into a nice zine/catalog to accompany the forthcoming show. These drawings owe as much or more to the tradition of other (more ancient) subconscious practices as they do to André Masson's surrealist automatism of the 1920's.

The atmospheric drawings flirt with a world just outside the reach of our own, and imagery is called forth by putting pencil to paper and allowing the subsequent illuminations to simply unfold. Read more on automatic drawing here.
